Privacy Policy

Overview

We take privacy seriously. This site is designed to collect as little data as possible. We use no cookies, no localStorage, no sessionStorage, and no third-party tracking scripts. This policy explains what we do collect and why.

What we collect

Contact form submissions. When you use our contact form, we collect your full name, organisation, role, location, and whatever you write in the open text field. If you tick the marketing consent checkbox, we also record that consent.

Analytics. We use Umami Cloud, a cookie-free, GDPR-compliant analytics tool. Umami does not collect personal data, does not use cookies, and does not track individual users across sessions. It provides aggregate page-view and referrer data only. No personally identifiable information is gathered through analytics.

Nothing else. We don't use cookies, localStorage, or sessionStorage. We don't run any third-party tracking scripts. Google Fonts are loaded for typography but Google does not receive identifying information beyond standard HTTP requests.

How we use your data

  • Contact form data is used to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to schedule a discovery session or discuss our services with you.
  • Marketing emails are only sent if you explicitly opt in via the consent checkbox. These cover practice methodology and cohort findings. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • Analytics data is used to understand which pages are visited and how people find the site. It cannot be linked to any individual.

Legal basis for processing

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR):

  • Contact form submissions: Legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)). You've reached out to us and we process your data to respond. We consider this reasonable and proportionate, and it aligns with your expectation when submitting an enquiry.
  • Marketing emails: Consent (Article 6(1)(a)). You actively opt in by ticking the checkbox. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us or clicking unsubscribe.
  • Analytics: No personal data is processed. Umami Cloud collects only anonymous, aggregate statistics.

Third-party services

We use a small number of external services. None of them receive personal data beyond what is technically necessary for them to function:

  • Netlify — hosts this site and processes form submissions. Netlify's infrastructure may log IP addresses as part of standard web serving. See Netlify's privacy policy.
  • Google Fonts — serves typefaces used on this site. Google receives standard HTTP request data (IP address, user agent) when fonts are loaded. See Google's privacy policy.
  • Umami Cloud — provides cookie-free analytics. No personal data is collected or stored.
  • Cal.com — booking links open in a new tab on Cal.com's platform. Any data you enter there is subject to Cal.com's privacy policy.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with anyone else.

Data retention

Contact form submissions are retained for as long as they are needed to manage our relationship with you. If you've opted into marketing, we retain your consent record and contact details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Analytics data is retained in aggregate form and cannot be linked to individuals.

Your rights under UK GDPR

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
  • Erasure — ask us to delete your data where there is no compelling reason to keep it.
  • Restrict processing in certain circumstances.
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interest.
  • Withdraw consent for marketing at any time.
  • Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you believe we've handled your data unlawfully.
